Childs is an author and aspiring screenwriter in metro Atlanta.  She has been involved in the local film circuit through involvement in organizations such as Women in Film and Television Atlanta and Georgia Production Partnership.  She has also published a book advocating the growth of the local film industry called On The Doorstep of Fame – Welcoming the Film Industry to Atlanta, Georgia.
