It’s that time of the year when our immune systems will go haywire because temperatures constantly change outside. I don’t know about you all, but I don’t like being sick, especially with respiratory illness. This is why I am adamant about keeping my immune system working correctly. If you have been following me for a while, you know that most of the herbs I cover tend to improve the immune system. Well, it should be no surprise that I have another herb that effectively enhances the immune system and fights off illness. This one is echinacea.
One of the main ailments that echinacea is good for is helping to fight cold and flu. This is very common this time of the year. I like to sip on echinacea in the form of tea. If I feel the onslaught of a scratchy throat or other symptoms associated with catching a cold, I start sipping away on my tea. In addition to fighting colds, I’ve learned that echinacea is good for fighting inflammation, lowering blood sugar levels, and reducing anxiety.
