I know that reading the title of this post and probably thinking, “Roses have hips?” I have no idea why this herb is called rose hips but it is quite a tasty herb in tea form.
Traditionally, rosehips have been used to treat numerous ailments. However, it’s most beneficial ingredient is vitamin C. Many claim that this rich source of vitamin C makes this a good choice for keeping your immunity up, but science has not confirmed it.
According to Web MD’s article on Rosehips, this herb is great for lowering blood sugar, improving heart health, and minimizing inflammation. Because of the high level of antioxidants in it naturally, it is very therapeutic. You can also use rosehips on your face to enhance your beauty when you purchase it in oil form. According to an article by Healthline about Rose Hips, rosehip oil can be used for the following:
- Skin hydration
- Moisturizing for the skin
- Exfoliation and brightening
- Boosting Collagen
- Protection from sun damage
- Reducing scars and fine lines
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to buy this product for what it can do for my looks alone!
