In my book, The Missing Link, I introduce a few simple techniques to improve your ability to magnetize your desires to you. In this article, I expand upon these techniques by discussing how sincere gratitude or thankfulness, even for the smallest thing in your life, can attract more things to be grateful for.
When your heart is happy and your vibes are joyful, do you ever experience negativity? Probably not because, as the saying goes, misery loves company, not thankfulness. Unfortunately, happy, thankful people are repulsive to most people who are cynical, primarily because most people love misery.
Therefore, miserable people and things are all congregating, while happy people are in their own world.
The Power Of Gratitude
Thankfulness, or gratitude, is an invisible force field that you create around yourself to protect you from miserable and unfavorable circumstances and people.
No matter what terrible thing is happening in your life at this moment, if you stop ‘feeling’ the terribleness of the thing taking place and start to feel thankful for the good that is taking place despite it, you will begin to shift life into favorable circumstances.
You may not have a car; you may not have a place to stay; you may not have a job; you may have lost a loved one. You could be the epitome of sadness and depression, but you can talk your way out of this condition in the same way you talked your way into this condition.
Read that again. You talked yourself into a negative situation, even if you thought it into existence through self-talk. Therefore, you can talk yourself out of it.
Some of you may feel that you didn’t talk yourself into your present life’s circumstances. However, you did. Remember the articles that I wrote a while ago about decluttering your mind and using auto-suggestion to stop stinking thinking?
Your mind likely attracted negative stuff to you consciously through what you are saying to yourself throughout the day, or subconsciously because of the beliefs you have held since you were a child. When your mind is on a negative autopilot, you can’t possibly have a thankful heart. Thus, you are manifesting negativity.
You still don’t think you’re guilty of this activity? Start today to take inventory of your thoughts. Did you say, “Why am I so fat?” while staring at yourself in the mirror? Your subconscious only hears, keep being fat, despite the fact that you want to lose weight. Are there other things you’re saying to yourself throughout the day like, “I’m so stupid,” even as a joke? Your mind doesn’t filter the insults, it just manifests them.
You have to clear this old baggage from your mind and word you use among others so that you can start to focus more on things that you are grateful for about yourself and your life.
How Do I Use Gratitude to Get Out Of My Negative Circumstances
As I said above, start with doing the other techniques that I have introduced in previous blog articles so that you can start with a clean slate. Once you have cleared the negative thoughts and balanced your chakras, you can begin to use gratitude’s magnetic power.
You can start by taking 5 minutes a day taking a break from everything and everyone and focus the mind and heart on being thankful for all that you have, even if the only thing you have is your life right now.
If all you have is your life, think about the fact that you are alive and breathing and thinking and capable of walking. Think of all the things about your body that is working.
From that 5 minute reflection, try to go throughout the day, not thinking about struggles or hardships. If such thoughts do come up, think about how temporary it is and how soon your circumstances will change.
You should not only think this, but you should also feel it in your heart that something good is on its way to you. If you have trouble expressing gratitude on your own, find counting apps on your phone to help you keep track of your focus on gratitude throughout the day. Or you can discover a subliminal app or video on Youtube and focus your mind on thankfulness with earplugs on while listening.
Besides putting in work to eliminate the negative, you should also avoid negative things around you, such as negative television programs, cynical people, and other nasty things. Within as little as 24 hours of being devoted to having a thankful heart, you will start to attract more things to be grateful for in your life. And from these 24 hours, you will begin to feel so good that you will begin to make it a daily habit. Then, voila, you will officially talk yourself out of your unfavorable life circumstances.
Try this method daily over the next thirty days until it becomes a habit.
